Your new home for album reviews, musical deep dives, and all things happening at Nick & Tiff Music on Route 5.

Growing up, every dollar I made from my paper route went straight toward buying new CDs. I couldn’t wait for the weekend so my parents could drive me to the nearest music store, where I’d pick out one or two albums I had been dying to hear. There was nothing like peeling off the plastic, opening the booklet, and diving into the music for the very first time.

The world has changed a lot since then. Technology has made music more accessible than ever — now you can stream anything you want, whenever you want. If I had that as a kid, I would’ve thought it was magic. But with so much music at our fingertips, I think it’s important to enjoy it intentionally, to slow down and really listen.

One thing I’ve always loved most about music is the experience of listening to a full album from start to finish. Not just picking a song here or there, not shuffling tracks, but sitting with a record the way it was meant to be heard — the flow, the sequencing, the way one song sets up the next.

With streaming, it feels like a lot of people experience music one song at a time now. And there’s nothing wrong with that — but for me, something special gets lost when we stop listening to albums as complete works. So many of my favorite records tell a story, capture a moment in time, or reveal something new the deeper you listen.

That love for full albums is a big reason why I’m doing weekly album reviews here. I want to slow things down, revisit great records front to back, and celebrate albums as art — not just playlists of songs.

That’s why I created this blog.

I love everything about music —
listening to it,
discovering new artists,
talking about it,
watching it live,
and sharing the albums that mean the most to me.

Here, I’ll be posting three recurring weekly features:

🎧 1. Album of the Week Review

Deep dives into classic albums, modern favorites, hidden gems, and the records that shaped my life.

From Pearl Jam to The Beatles, from Oasis to Zach Bryan — if it moves me, we’re talking about it.

🎧 WEEKLY PLAYLISTS — ANOTHER FEATURE ON THIS BLOG

One of my favorite things in the world is discovering great songs — and sharing them.

Every week, I’ll be posting a Nick & Tiff Music Weekly Playlist, featuring songs I’m playing in the store, new discoveries, deep cuts, and all-time favorites.

🎧 Weekly Playlist #1 — Some of our Favorite Songs of All-Time – Nick & Tiff Music Blog

🎶 How the playlists will work:

1. Amazon Music Link

Each playlist will include a Link taking you straight to our Weekly Playlist on Amazon Music.

2. A Written Song List (In Case You Don’t Use Amazon Music)

I’ll also include the full written tracklist, so everyone can follow along no matter where you listen.

This will be a big part of the blog: music discovery and sharing what we love.

Thanks for being here.

I can’t wait to talk music with you every week. Whether you’re discovering something new, revisiting something old, or stopping by Nick & Tiff Music to say hello, I hope this blog becomes a small part of your musical journey.

Music has shaped my entire life, and my hope is that something I share here resonates with you — the same way my favorite albums have always mattered to me.

Whether you’re here for deep album reviews, musical discussions, or gear talk…
Welcome.
Let’s listen, learn, and talk music together.
