We’re excited to introduce a brand-new Intro to Music class for kids at Nick & Tiff Music in Derby, New York.
Children ages 2–9 can join us Saturday mornings for a fun and interactive 30-minute intro to music class designed to introduce young kids to the joy of music.
The class is led by Stephanie Kwilos, who has put together a creative and engaging program that helps kids explore rhythm, movement, and musical expression in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Families in Derby, Hamburg, Lake View, and the Southtowns of Buffalo now have a fun new way to introduce their children to music.
What Kids Will Experience
Each class includes a variety of activities that help children engage with music in different ways. The goal is to keep things playful while building important musical skills.
Activities may include:
- Hello songs and rhythm clapping
- Movement songs like Shake My Sillies Out
- Rhythm games such as Chugga Chugga Choo Choo
- Drumming and beat echo exercises
- Silly songwriting and musical storytelling
- Movement games using scarves
- A calming closing song
These activities help children develop:
🎵 Rhythm and listening skills
🎵 Confidence and creativity
🎵 Coordination and movement
🎵 A love of music at an early age
A Fun Introduction to Music
For many kids, this class may be their first real musical experience, and our goal is to make it fun, welcoming, and inspiring.
Music at a young age can help children build confidence and creativity while developing skills that can carry over into school, learning, and future musical interests.
Whether your child loves to sing, dance, clap, or just explore sound, this class is designed to make music something they look forward to every week.
