Zach Bryan Cleveland Concert Review: May 9, 2026 at Huntington Bank Field

Zach Bryan Gave Cleveland a Marathon Night to End the First Leg of His North American Tour

Zach Bryan started the night at Huntington Bank Field by telling the Cleveland crowd that this was the last show of the first leg of his North American tour, and that they might play all night.

It could have been just a throwaway line to get the crowd fired up.

It wasn’t.

Bryan walked on stage around 9:20 PM and played until about 12:05 AM, turning a Saturday night in Cleveland into a nearly three-hour marathon. It was Mother’s Day weekend, it was the final show before the tour moved into its next chapter, and from the very beginning, it felt like he and the band were determined to give the city something more than a normal tour stop.

They did not disappoint.

The night had everything a Zach Bryan fan could ask for: huge singalongs, emotional deep cuts, unexpected tour debuts, a Bruce Springsteen cover, a fan being brought up to sing “Heading South,” and a wild 20-minute version of “Revival” that felt like it ended the show in complete chaos and celebration at the same time.

A Stadium Show That Still Felt Personal

Huntington Bank Field is obviously a massive venue, but Zach Bryan has a way of making a stadium feel smaller than it is. That was one of the best parts of the show. Even with a huge crowd around him, the songs still felt personal, rough around the edges, and connected to the people singing them back.

Opening with “Overtime” gave the show an immediate lift. It was a perfect first song because it felt like the night was already moving before anyone had a chance to settle in. “Open the Gate” kept that energy going, and then songs like “Appetite,” “Say Why,” and “The Way Back” brought the show into his newer material without losing the emotional center that makes his concerts work.

What stood out most was how generous the set felt. This was not a short hits-only stadium show. Bryan played like someone who knew the night mattered. He gave Cleveland the big songs, but he also gave fans the songs that make a show feel special: “Dry Deserts,” “Rivers and Creeks,” “Flying or Crying,” “Sweet DeAnn,” and “Crooked Teeth.” Hearing “Crooked Teeth” was especially cool because it was the first time he had played it since 2022, making it another moment that felt specific to this Cleveland show.

There were also plenty of fan favorites that turned into huge singalongs. “Dawns,” “Oklahoma Smokeshow,” “Motorcycle Drive By,” “Nine Ball,” “Hey Driver,” “Pink Skies,” “I Remember Everything,” and “Oak Island” all had that full-stadium feeling where the crowd seemed to take over with him. Bryan also brought a fan up to sing “Heading South,” which became one of those cool, once-in-a-lifetime concert moments. That kid will probably never forget standing on stage in front of an entire stadium singing with Zach Bryan.

The stage setup also deserves a lot of credit. The stage was placed in the middle of the football field, with microphones set up on each side and at each end. Bryan kept moving from mic to mic, which meant every section of the stadium got a chance to feel close to the show. That is how a stadium concert should be done. He made a real effort to give every fan a good experience.

“Drowning” Live Debut

One of the coolest moments of the night was the live debut of “Drowning.” Everyone in that stadium that night got to hear a Zach Bryan song played live for the first time ever. That is a special experience and memory to have.

It also made the show feel tied to Cleveland in a way that most concerts are not. This was not just another stop where the same setlist rolled through town. For a few minutes, the Cleveland crowd got to experience something no other crowd ever had.

The “Atlantic City” Cover Was One of the Night’s Best Surprises

The Bruce Springsteen cover of “Atlantic City” was another standout moment. It made perfect sense in a Zach Bryan set.

Springsteen’s writing lives in a world of desperate people, hard choices, broken dreams, and the need to keep going anyway. That lines up naturally with what Zach Bryan does so well. His songs often feel like they are about people trying to survive themselves, their past, their hometowns, their relationships, or the weight they carry.

That is why “Atlantic City” did not feel like a random cover. It felt like it belonged there.

In Cleveland, it came across as one songwriter stepping into another songwriter’s world and making it feel completely connected to his own.

That connection especially made sense to me, read more on that here:

“Sweet DeAnn” Hit Hard on Mother’s Day Weekend

Because the show fell on Mother’s Day weekend, “Sweet DeAnn” became one of the most meaningful moments of the night.

Bryan dedicated the song to all the moms in the crowd. In a set packed with loud, massive singalongs, this one landed in a different way. It brought the night back to family, memory, grief, and the personal roots behind so many of his songs.

It was not one of the loudest moments of the concert, but it may have been one of the most touching. Sometimes the songs that slow everything down are the ones that make the night feel bigger.

On Mother’s Day weekend, “Sweet DeAnn” had that effect.

“Revival” Ended the Show in Complete Chaos

After nearly three hours, Zach Bryan could have ended the night in a more normal way and still sent everyone home happy.

Instead, he closed with a roughly 20-minute version of “Revival.”

It was loud, stretched out, joyful, and completely unhinged in the best way. By that point, the show already felt huge, but “Revival” turned it into something else entirely. Bryan introduced each member of the band, giving everyone their own moment to shine with a short solo. It felt like a proper sendoff for the last night of the first leg of the tour, with the whole band getting one final chance to take in the crowd and leave everything on stage.

Then Bryan climbed up the stage stanchion with his guitar and played part of the song from up there, which made the ending feel less like a planned concert closer and more like the whole night had spilled over.

That was the perfect way to end this show.

“Revival” is already built to feel like a celebration, but in Cleveland, it felt like the band, the crowd, and Bryan himself were all trying to squeeze the last bit of energy out of the first leg of the tour.

Final Thoughts

Zach Bryan’s Cleveland concert at Huntington Bank Field felt like the kind of show fans hope to get when they buy the ticket.

It was long, emotional, unpredictable, and full of moments that made it feel specific to Cleveland. The live debut of “Drowning” gave the night something rare. “Atlantic City” brought in the perfect Springsteen connection. “Sweet DeAnn” hit harder because it was Mother’s Day weekend. “Crooked Teeth” rewarded longtime fans. “Heading South” became a true crowd moment with a fan getting brought on stage for a moment he will probably never forget. And “Revival” turned into a 20-minute celebration that featured the entire band and Bryan climbing the stage stanchion with his guitar.

This was not just another stop on the tour. It felt like a special Zach Bryan show.

A marathon night. A few once-in-a-tour moments. And a closing show that actually lived up to the promise that they might play all night.
