Music for Minis: Intro to Music Kids Class at Nick & Tiff Music

Music for Minis is our monthly Intro to Music class for kids ages 2–9 at Nick & Tiff Music!

Led by Stephanie Butterfield, Music for Minis gives young children a fun and welcoming way to experience music through singing, movement, rhythm, and creative play.

After a great morning of Music for Minis classes in August, we’re excited to make this a regular monthly event at the store. Music for Minis will be held on the last Saturday of every month, with small class sizes so every child has plenty of opportunities to participate.

Families in Derby, Hamburg, Lake View, and throughout the Southtowns looking for a fun introduction to music for young children are invited to join us!

Next Music for Minis Class – September 26, 2026

Our next Music for Minis classes are scheduled for:

Saturday, September 26, 2026
First Class: 10:00 AM
Ages: 2–9
Class Size: Maximum of 4 children

The first class of the morning begins at 10:00 AM. Once that class fills, we’ll add another class at 10:30 AM, with additional classes every 30 minutes as needed.

What Is Music for Minis?

Music for Minis is all about giving young children a chance to experience music in a way that feels fun and natural.

During the class, Stephanie introduces children to music and rhythm through fun interactions during songs, including:

Singing together
Clapping and stomping along with the music
Dancing and movement
Waving scarves
Using their imaginations
Exploring rhythm and musical expression through play

At this age, we want kids to discover that music is something they can participate in and enjoy. They don’t need any previous musical experience—they just need to come ready to have some fun!

Small Classes With Plenty of Individual Attention

One of the things that makes Music for Minis special is the small class size.

We limit each class to just four children, allowing Stephanie to interact with everyone and helping create a comfortable environment where each child can get involved at their own pace.

Keeping the classes small also allows us to add more sessions as needed instead of trying to fit a large group of children into one class.

Our first class begins at 10:00 AM, followed by additional classes every 30 minutes as earlier sessions fill.

We’re very lucky to have Stephanie Butterfield leading Music for Minis at Nick & Tiff Music.

Stephanie is fantastic with the kids and brings the kind of energy and enthusiasm that makes young children feel comfortable getting involved. Whether they’re singing, dancing, clapping along, or waving a scarf around the room, she makes music feel fun.

A special thank you to Stephanie for helping us bring Music for Minis to life and making our first monthly classes such a great experience for the kids!

Music for Minis will be held at Nick & Tiff Music on the last Saturday of every month.

The first class begins at 10:00 AM, and we’ll continue adding classes every 30 minutes as needed.
