We are excited to have something new and locally made in the store: handmade cajons built by a local musician.

These cajons are made from old wooden crates, which gives each one its own look, feel, and character. Instead of feeling like a mass-produced instrument, they have that handmade charm that makes them stand out right away.

They also have two snares built in, located in the top right and left corners, giving them a nice snap when you play closer to the top of the box. That makes them a great option for acoustic jams, singer-songwriter sets, small performances, lessons, or just playing at home.

Each cajon also comes with a padded seat, which is a really nice touch. Anyone who has sat on a cajon for a while knows that makes a difference.
