Western New York has a packed concert calendar in 2026, with shows coming to Buffalo, Darien Lake, Lewiston, North Tonawanda, Niagara Falls, East Aurora and more. From big arena tours to outdoor summer concerts, classic rock, country, alternative, R&B, tribute shows and smaller theater dates, there is a lot for local music fans to keep an eye on.
Of course, we could never list every single concert from every venue in Western New York. This guide is meant to highlight many of the major announced shows and notable concerts coming to some of our most popular local venues in 2026.

May starts the summer concert season with a pretty strong mix of rock, country, blues, tribute shows and outdoor concerts.

That is a pretty strong way to open the season. CAKE at the Outer Harbor feels like a perfect late-May Buffalo show, while HARDY gives Darien Lake its first big country night of the year. The Riviera also has a good tribute-show run in May with Smells Like Nirvana and Like Combs, and Samantha Fish at Asbury Hall should be a great fit for a smaller, more intimate room.
June 2026 Concerts in Western New York
June is where the calendar really starts to fill up. There are big outdoor shows, arena concerts, country events, R&B shows, classic rock, jam bands and some very solid theater dates.

July feels like the heart of the outdoor concert season. Dave Matthews Band at Darien Lake is always a big Western New York event, and Artpark has a strong run with Ziggy Marley, Sarah McLachlan, Blackberry Smoke, Shakey Graves and Djo all packed into the month. The Riviera also gives July a nice run of theater shows, especially for fans of Todd Rundgren, Green Day, Genesis and Phil Collins.
August 2026 Concerts in Western New York
August might be the busiest month of the year. There are big country shows, classic rock names, alternative acts, hip-hop, tribute shows and festival-style events all happening in the same stretch.

Bryan Adams, Billy Idol, Wu-Tang, Tim McGraw, Tori Amos, Arkells, Turnpike Troubadours and Violent Femmes all coming through Western New York in the same month gives fans a little bit of everything. It is also a great month for anyone who likes outdoor concerts by the water, because the Outer Harbor schedule is especially busy. And if you want a really fun, inexpensive night out, I highly recommend Queen Nation at the Riviera Theatre. We have seen them a couple of times, and they put on an amazing show. For Queen fans, they are absolutely worth checking out.

September may be one of the most interesting months on the whole Western New York concert calendar. You get major outdoor shows at Darien Lake and Artpark, smaller club energy at Town Ballroom and RiverWorks, theater shows at Shea’s and the Riviera, and then Borderland Festival in East Aurora, which turns the month into something bigger than a normal concert schedule. For fans who like rock, country, alternative, jam, tribute shows or full weekend festival experiences, September has a little bit of everything.
