Nick & Tiff Music Open Mic Night Returns September 19, 2026

When we decided to give Open Mic Night a try, we really didn’t know exactly what to expect.

We knew what we wanted it to be. We wanted a small, welcoming place where people could get up and share their music without worrying about being judged. We especially wanted it to be somewhere that a musician who had never performed in front of people before could finally take that really difficult first step.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our first Open Mic Night, we got to see that idea come to life.

And now we’re very happy to announce that Open Mic Night is coming back to Nick & Tiff Music on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM!

Thank You for Making Our First Open Mic Night Special

Before anything else, we want to thank everyone who was part of our first night.

Thank you to every musician who was willing to get up and perform. Thank you to the friends and family who came to support them. And thank you to everyone who simply came out because they wanted to listen to some live music and support local musicians.

The atmosphere of these nights is only as good as the people in the room, and everyone helped make our first one exactly the kind of positive experience we hoped it could be.

That’s why we’re excited to do it again.

A Place Where Everyone Is Rooting for You

One of the biggest reasons we wanted to start Open Mic Night was to give musicians a comfortable place to perform.

Playing music at home is one thing. Playing in front of friends or family is another. But getting up and performing in front of a room full of people you don’t know can be a huge hurdle.

We want Nick & Tiff Music to be a place where taking that step doesn’t feel quite as intimidating.

You don’t have to be an experienced performer. You don’t have to play everything perfectly. And you certainly don’t have to worry about competing with anyone else.

There is no competition, no negative comments and no judgment.

The whole idea is to share some music, encourage each other and have a good time.

And if you’ve been thinking about performing but haven’t quite been able to convince yourself to do it yet, maybe September 19 will be your night.

Everyone is welcome to come out and listen. You don’t have to perform to enjoy Open Mic Night, and having a supportive audience is a huge part of what makes these nights special.

One small note: Our doors do have a chime on them, so please do not leave during someone’s performance if not necessary. If you could wait till the end of the song that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Interested in Performing?

We’re keeping the format simple again, keeping that small coffee shop open mic style going.

Solo performers or duos
One or two songs per performer
All experience levels are welcome
Performer spots are limited, so please contact us ahead of time
Walk-ins will be welcome to perform as long as there’s time

We’ll go over your performance and any setup needs with you beforehand so we can keep the night running smoothly.

Our Open Mic Stool Is Just Getting Started

We’re also continuing a tradition that began with our very first Open Mic Night.

Every musician who performs receives an exclusive “I Performed at Nick & Tiff Music” sticker to take home.

They also get to choose any sticker they want from our sticker bins and add it to our Open Mic Stool.

The first group of performers has officially left their mark, and now we’re ready to add another group of stickers on September 19.

As we continue doing these nights, we hope that stool eventually becomes completely covered—a little piece of Nick & Tiff Music history representing all the people who have stepped up and shared their music here.

Let’s Do It Again

When we announced our first Open Mic Night, we said we hoped it could become something we did regularly, but we wanted to see what kind of interest there was before making any promises.

After getting our first one under our belts, we’re excited to keep it going. We will try to do at least one a month to start.

So whether you performed at the first one and want to come back, you’ve been thinking about finally giving it a try, or you just want to spend an evening listening to local musicians, we’d love to have you.
